Genesis Career College
Student Testimonials

"My experience at Genesis Career College not only prepared me for real day-to-day life at the salon, but it touched my heart and helped me make life-long friendships. My instructor, Mrs. Karen Safranek, is still someone I speak to on a regular basis. She is always there for us as students and there for us as an upbeat, positive role model in this career path. She teaches us with a passion that shows in her work every single day. I love GCC, and I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking to further their education in an exciting, uplifting environment!"

Before I began at Genesis Career College, I knew I had dreams I wanted to chase, but I lacked the self-confidence to really pursue those dreams. I decided to take the plunge and enroll into the program, and I have no regrets! My instructor, Mrs. Kelli, was nothing short of amazing. She helped me build my confidence and knowledge of the medical field. Karrie, who is Mrs. Kellie’s boss, always ensured we had supplies, room and ability to learn daily. They are a great team and help many like myself achieve goals! I was highly blessed to be able to attend school here and be taught and led by the best.

“My name is Tashina Peterson, and I recently graduated from Genesis Career Institution to pursue a career as a manicurist. I am very grateful for my experience and time that was spent there, and I got way more than just a degree. It was a great experience, and I’m so thankful for all the great instructors and students I’ve met in such a short amount of time! Everyone there is so great to work with and helpful. Thank you all so much for my experience at Genesis.”

"I started at Genesis Career College in Dalton, GA on April 2, 2019. I have been participating in the Medical Assistant program over the last few months. I have found this program to be educational and enjoyable. During my time here, I learned how to apply tourniquets, perform venipunctures, perform capillary sticks, assess blood pressure, perform EKGs, and execute butterfly sticks, among other things. My instructor, Karen Muse, has helped me throughout this program a lot. She always encouraged us to do the best and to never give up. Without her help, I wouldn't be where I am right now. Kelsi did a great job in convincing me in being a part of Genesis Career College, and in helping me and all the students with their financial aid. She helped guide me through the process of applying for FAFSA. I believe that I made the right choice thanks to Kelsi, and I don’t believe I could have made a better decision in regard to my education. The director, Tashanya, has been a really nice person. She would often remind me that I could complete the program whenever she saw me. She was always caring and checking up on us because she wanted the best for our futures. Therefore, I would highly recommend for all those that want to become Medical Assistants to attend Genesis Career College and to enroll in the program."

“Over the last few months, I have been attending the medical assistant program at the Genesis Career College in Dalton. My experience during this time at Genesis has been engaging and amazing. Throughout the length of this course, I have learned many skills that are critical to a medical assistant, such as how to measure blood pressure, perform venipunctures, and perform an electrocardiogram among other techniques. Our instructor, Karen Muse, is an astounding teacher who always helped me remain focused on accomplishing my goal of graduating from the program. In addition, Mrs. Muse always found a way to maintain our class educational and captivating. Furthermore, she is able to relate an interesting personal experience during her time in the healthcare field pertaining to whatever subject that we are studying. Kelsi served as a recruiter and financial advisor for Genesis, and she did a great job convincing me to attend. She helped me figure out a way to resolve my financial situation in a manner that would work for me. Our school director was Tashanya, who has always been there to offer us support and encouragement. She has always been conscious of our needs and has helped us resolve situations in regard to any issues in relation to our schooling. One instance was when our CPR certification was unable to be delivered, so she called around in order to locate our certificates. Thus, overall, my time at Genesis has been wonderful, and it has been a pleasure to attend this program with the support of all the staff and my classmates. I would highly recommend any individual to apply for and attend this program because it is a great experience and I feel as if I am prepared for any position as Medical Assistant that I choose to pursue.”
