As a student in the Genesis Pharmacy Technician Program, you will be trained to receive written prescriptions or requests for reﬁlls and prepare the order by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications. Additionally, courses in career development, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical law will prepare you for entry into a career as a health care professional.

Pharmacy Technician in Retail Pharmacies, Walk-in and Community Clinics, Mail-Order Pharmacies, Long-term Care Facilities, Hospitals.

Employment of pharmacy technicians and aides is expected to increase by 25 percent from 2008 to 2018, which is much faster than the average for all occupations.
Job opportunities for pharmacy technicians are expected to be good, especially for those with previous experience, formal training, or certification.
