With the healthcare field growing at a steady rate, there are many job opportunities each year for Medical Assistants. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the operation of a physician’s office or other health-care facility.

The Genesis program provides you with the expertise, knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional patient care and physician support. As a Medical Assistant, you will be an essential member of a health-care team and will perform tasks such as documenting patient history, taking vital signs, preparing the patient for examination, assisting the health-care provider with patient examinations, medicine administration and basic laboratory procedures. Additionally, courses in career development, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical ethics will prepare you for successful entry in to the health care profession.

While professional certification is not required for employment, Genesis graduates are prepared and encouraged to take one of the certifying examinations for the profession. Professional certification provides the credentials to validate your ability, knowledge and expertise as a Medical Assistant, giving you a distinct advantage over other job applicants in your field.
