Continued growth in the number of full-service spas and nail salons will generate numerous job openings for manicurists, pedicurists, and skin care specialists. Estheticians and other skin care specialists will see large gains in employment, and are expected to grow almost 38 percent, much faster than average, primarily due to the popularity of skin treatments for relaxation and medical well-being.
Job opportunities are generally good, particularly for licensed personal appearance workers seeking entry-level positions.
