Express your creative talents in hair, skin, nail care and makeup application through the Cosmetology Program at Genesis Career College.

Our Cosmetology Program incorporates 1500 hours of comprehensive hands-on learning to provide a complete understanding of beauty. The program includes instruction in shampooing, permanent waving, hair cutting, color and texture, fashion trends, self-development, best business practices, manicures, pedicures, makeup and state licensure preparation.

As a student, you will begin by spending time in a classroom learning the theoretical basics and fundamentals that will serve as a foundation for your education. In the second phase of the Cosmetology Program, you will be introduced to the clinic ﬂoor where you continue to build upon your skills by gaining hands-on experience with real clients. Along with the required practical and clinical activities, you will enjoy guest artists who demonstrate new techniques and products, ensuring you have the most up-to-date information available to offer your clients. Upon completion, you will be on your path to a successful career as a Licensed Cosmetologist!

According to 2018 projections, employment of hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists will increase by about 20 percent, much faster than average, while the number of barbers will increase by 12 percent, about as fast as average.
